Start the game by catching a Pikachu

This tip is a little off the rails (crazy), but you would have to be a serious game player even to attempt it. Pokemon Go uses orbiting satellites to work out where on the surface of the planet your phone is.

However, there is a piece of technology called a signal jammer that can be used to send false signals and enable you to transport your Pokemon hunter anywhere in the world without actually being there.

Remember when I said you would have to be a serious player to take part in such a tactic? That’s because using this kind of tech is illegal and could land you in prison, not to mention cause you to be banned from the game for life.

PokeBall thrower

Do you find throwing a PokeBall can sometimes be difficult? Why not make yourself a low-tech prop from paper or cardboard? All you have to is choose some material that is as wide as your mobile phone display and attach it to two sticky notes.

 

Change your team

When you pass level 5 in Pokemon Go, the game allows you to choose a team to join. However, when you pick a team, you will see a warning telling you that once this is done, there is no going back.

As with all games, sometimes mistakes are made, and a player may have chosen to join the wrong team. If this is the case, Niantic will consider allowing a team change, but it will only do so if a player’s trainer level is low and no previous requests have been made. If this is you, you should now contact Niantic and follow their instructions.

Drop lures if you don’t want to hunt

If you can’t be bothered going out on the hunt for Pokemon, you can find some by attaching lures to your local supermarket, bar or just about anywhere you think Pokemon could be found. If you want to speed up spawning, leave some Incense. This will make Pokemon appear every minute rather than every five minutes.

The downside to PokeNest is that its developer is located in Canada and mostly limits information to the Toronto area.
